I recently had an interesting discussion with some friends about the pros and cons of baby changing tables. Some use them and some have no use for them at all.
One the one hand, changing tables can be convenient and provide a clean and safe place to change a baby’s diaper. If you decide to go for one, be sure it’s sturdy at the store because it’s not going to get any more stable when you get it home and put an active baby on it.
On the other hand, some parents skip the changing table altogether and just a pad to change the baby at any location that is convenient. So if you are setting up your nursery, you can safely cut the changing table out of your budget and save some money as well as some space in your nursery. If you go this route, be sure you have a safe place to change your baby’s diapers and that you don’t leave your baby unattended.
