If anyone had asked me a few days ago what the difference between samurai swords and ninja swords I would have honestly not had a clue. The wonders of the internet meant that within twenty minutes I had enough information to allow me to find out a little about these marvelous swords.

Both of these weapons have seen a resurgence in popularity, capturing the imagination of sword collectors and oriental enthusiasts alike.

They have captured the imagination of ancient civilizations along with the morals and ideals that each of these cultures showed.

The samurai fighters were entrusted with defending the royal family, which made them very respected in their community. These individuals lived on a strict code of honor, valor, pride and respect which made them an elite fighting force.

In sharp contrast the ninjas were a group of warriors which were highly feared. They considered their weapons to be tools of the trade which were simple and crude, whilst the samurais considered their weapons to be valuables that needed to be respected and valued.
