2 Of The Most Common Sleep Apnea Symptoms
March 16th, 2010 | by admin |Two of the most commonly seen sleep apnea symptoms are:
Loud snoring. In the majority of cases of sleep apnea the condition results from a blockage to the airway caused, to some degree, by excess tissue at the back of the throat. When your brain detects that you have stopped breathing as a result of this, it awakens you just enough to begin breathing again. This, in turn, causes you to take a large breath initially, which causes this excess tissue to vibrate and results in loud snoring.
Excessive daytime tiredness. Because you are constantly waking during the night to breathe, you are getting only very light and fragmented sleep, which leaves you still feeling tired at the end of the night and throughout the coming day.
