This innovative NC cutting centre mounts a spindle designed for fitting an articulated diamond disc that rotates 360° and a waterjet, making it the ideal solution for cutting complex curved lines.
Combicut DJ/NC offers the possibility of combing or alternating both tools, diamond disc cutter and / or waterjet, depending on production requirements. This allows for optimising cutting operations resulting in a higher material yield minimising on waste, all of this without having to move the slab or workpieces.
The control panel is mounted to an articulated cantilever structure (hanging) allowing the operator to move it with ease within the working area when required.
It conforms to EC safety standards, and to UL standards.

The interpolated axes allow the SX5 to cut in any direction, with all axes working together. With a laser attached to the blade cover, youre able to align your slab and direct cuts when using the manual cut feature.

With an intelligent speed regulator, the SX5 can be left to work. No operator is required to monitor the machine during single or multiple cuts, the full shape you have programmed will be cut without the need for adjustments.

Or, if you like, you can switch the saw to manual mode for simple sawing operations. With the SX5, its up to you.

The SX5 saw, together with Scandinvents own software, ScandSOFT™, means you can cut almost any shape automatically, in one program.

For advanced kitchen design, the SX5 with ScandSOFT™ allows the actual slabs being used to be photographed and imported into the CAD program.

Why is this useful?

The proposed cut-outs can be virtually arranged in the program, on top of a photo of the actual slab youll be cutting. http://www.aquacut.co.il – In this video you’ll be able to see how we used a waterjet machine to cut 20mm thick marble tiles into beautiful marble carpets which are meant for an Israeli Synagogue. Most of the tiles were 60x60cm and consisted of four main colors – Beige, Grey, Red and Yellow. The customer sent us the entire design in DXF and we seperated it to the many parts and pieces which emble these carpets and cut them accordingly.
