How can I turn a flat glass stone into a charm or pendant?

December 17th, 2009 | by admin |

I have some flat glass stones/marbles and want to turn them into a pendant or earrings. I’ve tried searching online and found only a few instructions but I tried and came out fruitless. Perhaps there are findings for such material? Like a silver flat finding with a hoop to string it? Please help? Thanks.

Yes, there are hundreds of styles available at jewelers, craft shops and on-line. Artbeads.com has instructions on different types.
Sometimes when looking for a unique item you can visit a pawn shop. In this case check out any costume jewelry they have. You may find an end cap that you can then remove from the item it is on and mount it onto your pendant/ earring.

    Hi Aunt!

My daughter makes jewelry as a hobby and she often buys stones that are wrapped in gold wire that has the findings attached to the wire. If you look at the bead section of a craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels or even Wal Mart you can see how they make the beads and if you like that style mimic what they did with just an investment in the wire $4 for gold tone and a lot more if you want the real stuff.

    Good luck.
