What color (bathroom) vanity should I go with?

we are renovating our bathroom. The walls are going to be a white marble with gray veins. the floor is a salt & pepper granite with an absolute black border and the vanity top is going to be absolute black. We had originally picked out a white vanity but I really think some color would be nice, maybe a light/dark would finish.

Ooh, white sounds awfully pretty–maybe a pickled oak? But if you really want color, I’d probably go with a honey maple. It’s a beautiful color, not too light and not too dark.

White cabinets and vanities went out of style about 10 years ago. I only see them used when people shop at Home Depot and are on a budget. Any dark wood will look rich like chestnut or cherry. Actually almost any wood is good and it’s your taste to call it.
