I am looking to use marble on my kitchen counters and?

in the bathroom (vanity) I don’t like granite but I am not sure what to use? Like the pro and cons of each, Can some one help?

Marble is not recommended for kitchen counters due to the fact that it is more fragile than granite. It has "grain", and sudden temp changes, as well as dropping things on it can cause it to crack. If you don’t like granite, consider some of the solid surface tops available, such as Corian. They are available in a wide variety of styles, colors, and finishes. Visit a kitchen and bath dealer, rather than a home center. You will find a much larger selection to choose from. Hope this helps.

Marble because it looks luxurious! Plus its smoother and shinier.

Both are really beautiful, and both hides messiness really well. It just depends on what you like better really. I’d say look up a bunch of images of each to see what you like better. I would also say that marble is more expensive but I don’t know.

I would strongly suggest that you not use marble on your counters because marble scratches really super easy. If you don’t like granite, then you can check out some home improvment stores or flooring and countertop stores to find some other stones or things that you like. Hope this helps! :)

I have many clients that like the look of marble and have it on their bathroom counter tops which looks absolutely fantastic and I would definately recommend it for bathroom tops.

However I strongly suggest that you DO NOT use it for your kitchen as marble does scratch easily and also is very pourous and will stain easily with spills, hot liquids, etc and does not deal well with the high wear and tear of kitchen counters.

I suggest caesar stone which has beauitiful finishes, I chose an almost completely white top for my kitchen and it looks very classy and spectacular and always appears clean!

    Good luck :)
