Use the recommended trowel (1/4″ x 3/16″ or 5/16″ x 5/16″ V notched trowel) mix the thinset a little more fluid than normal and use a wood float or the flat side of a trowel to push and smooth the ditra into the thinset. To much thinset under the Ditra could cause the lumps that you have.
how did you get the … how did you get the ditra to go on smooth, Mine had a few spots with lumps in it ? I think its from my knees pressing on it as I try to smooth it out. Was your thinset more runny for the ditra than it was for the tiles??
