Is it possible to install vitrified tiles over marble flooring? And will it be sturdy and durable?

Just one question back to you- why in the world would you want to cover marble flooring?
Next be careful with putting anything over this floor as the height will be increased enough to throw off adjoining floor lines, floor trim, moliding, vents.. etc. If you really want to replace the floor I suggest replacing it not adding to it. Michele
