I would like to know if you were to upgrade your bathroom and have limited $$$ to spend, would you rather upgrade the countertop, shower wall and floor to marble OR to a frameless shower door?

I need to temporarily attach wood strips to thin strips of marble during cutting and setting so the marble won't separate at the fault lines. After the thinset sets, I want to remove the wood. This is a fireplace job and the thin strips will wrap some corners.
