I have a small bathroom, The walls are tiled half way up with cream color tiles and hunter green small tiles at the top of the cream. Then the wall half up is painted cream. I currently hae a cream color shower curtain in there with brown accents. For a new look what other colors could I go with. The vanity is white and counter top is marbled cream.

when you have a bathroom like that.. i would say.. live alittle and do something you wouldnt normally do..like this.

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/20070404cbgb.jpg

NONONONO!!! I was just kidding..
for real..something like this..in the top left corner

* you could paint the walls a light grey color and your color scheme could be creme, green and grey*
and hang things to tie it in together.. even using different shades of green. It can be tastefully done =)

I want to do a cloud design in my blue bathroom the kids use, when I picked colors I didn’t know that the toilet and sink were going to come in a robin’s egg blue, the tub and surround are like a cornflower blue, and the vanity top is like a blue/gray marble. This is our first house, modular, no one told me these things, I thought I was just picking a vanity top color. How do I bring all these different hues together without painting the walls white? I need a cheap way, house is only 2 yrs old & hubby refuses to rip apart the bath. Anyone had a similar problem? HELP!

My bathroom wallpaper lasted forever – till I got sick of it and ripped it down. What would be easier though is to paint your bathroom a very pale blue that doesn’t fight any of the other blues. Buy a sea sponge at the craft store and practice making clouds! I did it when my daughter was small and it was beautiful. You can add touches of pink or yellow very lightly to the bottom of your clouds too. Make sure you squeeze most of the white paint out of the sponge, you want a light touch. Hope it all works out. It is hard to wallpaper around a toilet, remember that.

You can try sanding them but odds are the vanity is plastic and burn is all the way through. Forget your deposit.
Home Depot and Lowe’s in the Kitchen and Bath section does sell an epoxy fix it Kit for vanities, See if they carry your color

Not sure about the real estate condition in Santa Monica. This answer applies to general situation.

As the housing market slump, appreciation probably won’t occur in near term (6 months to 2 years). If there is no appreciation, then you can determine the true value of a property by comparing to revenue that property can bring in to bonds or CDs (30 year bonds are returning 5%). You can also compare your mortgage payment with comparable rent.

Of course, there is a premium for owning. In the past few years, people pay 25% to 35% extra to own because properties appreciate fast. Now, it really depends on how much you like that condo.

i just recently heard of this company called GotGreenKits that came up with this clean-by-color system to educate ppl about sustainable green cleaning to conserve energy.

in case ur curious, this is a natural green cleaning system that actually works a lot better than most products; and the system is intend to IMPROVE AIR QUALITY for the kids and family members! It was first used by professional cleaning service to clean doctor’s office and real estate buildings, and you can ONLY buy their products online!

Always keep your trim light otherwise it will close a room off and call attention to the framing of the room rather than the room itself.

we are renovating our bathroom. The walls are going to be a white marble with gray veins. the floor is a salt & pepper granite with an absolute black border and the vanity top is going to be absolute black. We had originally picked out a white vanity but I really think some color would be nice, maybe a light/dark would finish.

Ooh, white sounds awfully pretty–maybe a pickled oak? But if you really want color, I’d probably go with a honey maple. It’s a beautiful color, not too light and not too dark.
