wet and slick, slick is what you will get, if you polish it,
use a good grade of sealer then polish it, with a cloth buffer, followed by a good floor wax, don,t polish that,

I am not sure, but I think I should polish my newly installed granite countertop, then seal it. Is this correct?
So after I seal it, can I still polish it like 6 months or 1 year later?

It has water ring marks and fine surface scratches. Im a diy person and am looking for product names or technics
Toothpaste will remove the water rings....buff with soft cloth, rinse.
Jeweler's rouge and an orbital buffer to fine tune resurface - like compounding and waxing your car.
bet it'll be beautiful.

My marble living room floor hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for years, and there are stains which I think (I'm not sure) are actual stains, not natural veining. No cleaner I've tried gets them out, however.
My contractor says a simple polish will restore the floor, but other people say it needs ...

just like any marble, its polished by high speed methods. if its a smooth surface, you can use car compound cleaner with a soft cotton cloth. they make from fine to rough compounds. you rub it out and put a tad ...
